1 Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the PrayerLock mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions ("Terms"). These Terms apply to all users of the App.

If you are using the App on behalf of a minor, you represent that you have the authority to accept these Terms on their behalf.

2 Description of Service

PrayerLock is a free Islamic prayer tracking application that provides the following features:

• Accurate Islamic prayer times based on GPS location
• Prayer streak tracking and 30-day history
• Adhan (call to prayer) audio notifications
• Soft and Strict phone lock modes during prayer times
• Tahajjud night prayer alarm
• Hijri (Islamic calendar) date display
• Focus timer with prayer break reminders

The App is available on iOS and may be made available on Android. Features may vary by platform and operating system version.

3 Permitted Use

You may use the App solely for your personal, non-commercial religious and productivity purposes. You agree not to:

• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Use the App for any unlawful or prohibited purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any servers or systems
• Use the App in a way that could damage, disable, or impair it
• Reproduce, distribute, or sell any part of the App without permission

4 No Account Required

PrayerLock does not require you to create an account or provide any personal information to use the App. All data (prayer logs, streaks, settings, profile name) is stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage.

A random internal User ID is generated on first use for support purposes only. This ID is not linked to any personal identity and is not transmitted to any external server.

5 In-App Purchases

PrayerLock is free to use. We offer an optional, voluntary one-time Supporter purchase to help cover app maintenance and development costs. This purchase:

• Is completely voluntary — the App is fully functional without it
• Is a one-time payment (not a recurring subscription)
• Is processed by Apple App Store
• Is non-refundable except as required by the applicable store's refund policy
• Does not unlock exclusive features — it is a charitable contribution to the Ummah

All purchase disputes must be handled through Apple or Google's respective store policies.

6 User Content & Data

Any content you input into the App (such as your display name or prayer logs) is stored exclusively on your local device. We do not collect, transmit, or store this data on any external servers.

If you delete the App or clear its data, all locally stored information is permanently deleted. We cannot recover this data for you.

The App requests device permissions including:

• Location: To calculate accurate prayer times for your area
• Notifications: To send prayer time alerts and Adhan reminders
• Audio: To play Adhan audio at prayer times

You may revoke these permissions at any time through your device settings. Doing so may limit certain App features.

7 Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without any warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to:

• Merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
• Accuracy of prayer times (which may vary slightly by calculation method)
• Uninterrupted or error-free operation
• Compatibility with all devices or operating system versions

We do not guarantee that the App will function correctly if your device restricts background processes, location services, or notifications.

8 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PrayerLock and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

• Missed prayers due to notification failures or app errors
• Data loss from app deletion or device failure
• Inaccurate prayer times due to GPS errors or calculation differences
• Any losses arising from use or inability to use the App

Our total liability to you for any claims arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for any in-app purchase, if any.

9 Religious Content Disclaimer

PrayerLock is designed as a practical productivity and prayer-tracking tool for Muslims. Prayer times, Adhan audio, Hijri dates, and other Islamic content are provided to the best of our ability based on established scholarly methods.

We do not claim religious authority. Prayer time accuracy depends on the chosen calculation method and your GPS location. For critical religious rulings, always consult a qualified Islamic scholar.

Hadith or Quranic quotations displayed in the App are sourced from publicly available translations and are used for inspirational purposes only.

10 Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
